The T Family | Family Session

I have known this family since before they were a family!  Mrs. T and I were teachers together in Lansing.  She was only dating Mr. T at the time (although they became engaged soon after her and I became friends).  To this day, she is one of my closest friends.  We can go a while without talking or seeing each other, but when we finally get together, we pick up right where we left off.  We've been friends now for over 12 years, and I am so lucky to have this amazing family in my life!

The J Family | Family Session

A lot of thought and planning went into the J's family session.  Outfits were discussed, locations were debated, and when I met this cute family it felt like we were old friends.  First of all, the boys are ADORABLE!  They had a slight obsession with the ducks in the lake, and so I used it to my advantage by taking a few photos with the family facing the lake so the boys could see the ducks behind me and appear to be looking at the camera.  Who says being a photographer just means you push a button?  ;)  Secondly, both parents are incredibly kind and sweet.  I'm so excited that we have birthday sessions for the boys already lined up.  Enjoy viewing the J's family session!

The B Family

It was luck that brought the B family to me.  Mrs. B and I were some of the last remaining ladies at the 100 Women Who Care of Gratiot County's September meeting.  (If you have not checked out this amazing organization, you should do so!)  As we were chatting she realized she followed me on Facebook and needed family portraits done!  I love meeting clients that way.  :)
The B family was so much fun to photograph.  We were lucky that some of the trees still had leaves and despite the fact that my favorite tree in the park had lost its leaves already, we still made it work.

Go Blue (just kidding...) | Family Session

This adorable grandma works with my husband and they are constantly teasing each other about their teams.  My husband is a Michigan State fan and she is, well, can you tell?  This session was such fun!  My favorite part was when I told them to say, "Go green!" and they glared at me.  Ha! And if you notice Mr. D - the little man I get to photograph every month.  I feel so lucky to have captured these photos for this wonderful family - even if they are Michigan fans!  ;)
