Alexandria and Ramon | Romantic Michigan Wedding

When I meet a couple for a bridal consult, they don't realize that I am actually interviewing them.  I am looking to make sure that we are a good fit and that I can tell that they are in love.  I also want to make sure that they are a fun couple, because I am a goof and love to joke around with my brides and grooms.

I hit the jackpot with Alex and Ramon.

First of all, they're adorable.  Alex has the cutest little smile and Ramon's smile is so big, his eyes disappear.  I love that!  We were laughing through our meeting, and I knew we would make a good fit.  So, yes, I was ecstatic when Alex emailed me asking me to be their wedding photographer!

We had a fall engagement session and ended up walking about five miles through the woods.  It's a good thing we had a sense of humor, because that could have turned ugly.  ;)

All week, the weather had predicted rain for Alex and Ramon's wedding day.  Luckily, it changed and was a gorgeous day.  Perfect temperatures!

I have to give mad props to my second shooter, Megan Moll, for capturing the details and groom's pictures for me.  :)

I loved Alex's elegant hair style with the gorgeous clip.

Alex's bridesmaids were so much fun!  Honestly, it was a great wedding party.

The back of Alex's dress was stunning.  The lace detailing was something she wanted me to make sure I captured for her.

One of my favorite things - the groom's face when he first sees his beautiful bride.

Ramon might be a macho man, but he was holding in those tears.

The newlyweds!!  I would have a kissing photo here, but I kid you not, Ramon and Alex had the fastest kiss in the history of the world.  I scolded them afterwards.  ;)

We headed over to Dow Gardens for some photos of the couple and their wedding party.

We then headed to the Tridge, because when you get married in Midland, you obviously need photos there!

I can't even begin to tell you how fun this wedding party was.  They filled our travels in the party bus with their favorite 'Alex and Ramon' stories.  This couple is so lucky to have been surrounded by friends and family that so obviously love and care for them.

We then made a pit stop to 7-Eleven, because it was July 11 - FREE SLURPEE DAY!

Alex and Ramon's reception was at the Golden Glow Ballroom in Saginaw.  It was beautiful.  Alex is a teacher and has a love of books and reading.  She did an amazing job of incorporating her love of books into their wedding.

Thank you so much, Alex and Ramon, for choosing me to capture your gorgeous wedding.  I am so happy and honored to have done it.

XOXOXO

Amanda and Nick | Engagement Session

When I met Amanda at Biggby in Mt. Pleasant, we instantly hit it off.  She is a fellow photographer and has a gorgeous smile that instantly makes you smile, too!  Her eyes lit up when she talked about Nick and as she described the things she loved about him (he makes her laugh), I was eager to meet him, too.

Since Amanda is a Mt Pleasant photographer, she was hoping to get away from there and go somewhere "fresh." So, I had her come to Alma!  I love our downtown area, and that was our first stop.

Oh my word, those shoes, right?  Amanda had such a great outfit!
Since we were downtown, we had to stop into Alma Brewing Company.  I bought them both a beer and let them chill out for a bit. (Nick was pretty sure I was the coolest photog ever - next to Amanda, of course!)

A big thanks to Alma Brewing Company for being so awesome when we came in!

After we warmed up, we then headed to the park.

Up to this point, it had been cloudy all day.  The sun peeked out, and I literally yelled, "You guys, the SUN!!!!" Poor Nick just started running as I shouted, "Hug her, hug her!"  I'm so glad they hustled, because we were able to get this gorgeous shot.
Amanda had this adorable idea to use hot chocolate mugs for their Save the Dates.  I love how these turned out!  Too bad Nick drank most of the hot chocolate before the photos!  ;)

Amanda and Nick, thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer.  I cannot wait for your beautiful October wedding!
