Mr J | Two Year Old Session

I have been so fortunate enough to photograph this cutie pie and his family a few times.  There is something about that adorable little smile and big eyes.  Watch out, Mom and Dad - he's going to be a heartbreaker!

Mr J is very into trains right now, and it was important to his mom that I capture that.  I love photographing kids playing with their toys.  :)

Happy 2nd birthday, Mr J!  I can't wait to photograph you again!

Mr. D | One Year Old

I have been lucky enough to photograph this little man every month of his first year.  It has been amazing watching him grow through my camera.  :)  I'm going to miss seeing him every month, so these one year photos were a little bitter sweet for me.

Happy birthday, sweet D man!

March: What to Wear Ideas

I can feel it...SPRING IS COMING!!  I'm sure those of you in Michigan are ready for the snow to finally be gone and the flowers to bloom.  I get a little lost in January through March because it seems that my business slows down.  I should enjoy it, but instead I plan for the rest of the year because I know once spring here, business goes crazy!  I love it!

But back to the purpose of today's blog.  Here are a few samples of what to wear for those spring sessions.  Florals for women and girls are very popular, along with a pair of cute boots!  If there is a little chill in the air, add a denim shirt.  So adorable!

You can also do solids and add a pop of color and pattern in the kids clothes (and notice mom's shoes match the boy's shirt).  Little details like that tie in the outfits together.  I love this as well.  :)

Have fun styling and dressing your family as you plan your spring photo sessions!

Hugs!

Check out Google Plus

Part of being a photographer is getting your work out there.  Social Media plays such an important role in doing that, and unfortunately, Facebook is making it harder and harder for small businesses to get seen by their fans.

A few photographers (ok, several photographers) have ventured over to Google Plus to check out things there.  It is definitely a learning process and I can see why people are scared to make the change. It's different and new, and as we know, new things take us out of our comfort zone!  But I urge you to just check it out.

And if you're already on Google Plus, you can follow me at https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/116158495151122649357/+SarabonacciphotographyBlogspot/posts and check out my work.  Like I said, it's a learning process, so my site isn't perfect.  But I'm learning!

Hope to see you there!

What to Wear - February | Sara Bonacci Photography

One of the most common questions I am asked by clients is, "What should I wear?"  I love colors, patterns, and layers.  I feel that clothing adds to your photos and sets the mood.  I am guilty of dressing my family in outfits that match our family room, because I know that these photos will be displayed proudly!

With that being said, be sure to choose a color scheme that compliments each other.  One color top and khaki pants (or jeans) is not only boring, but very old school.  Choose outfits that coordinate with one another, and don't forget to accessorize!

I love this color scheme!

As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions about outfit ideas!  I often have moms text me photos and ask if the colors go well, or if it's too much, etc.  I will honest truthfully, because I want your family portraits to turn out gorgeous!

Now, start planning your outfits!
Happy shopping!

Mom and Me Mini Sessions

One of my favorite sessions are the Mom and Me mini sessions.  What a great way to honor moms!  We are almost always behind the camera, so here is your chance to be in front.  These photos are so important and special because it's just you and the kids.  I will take photos capturing the bond between a mom and her babies (no matter how old your "baby" might be!).  Let me know if you'd like to book a session - spots are limited!

Kara and David: Winter Session | Sara Bonacci Photography

It's no secret that this has been a harsh winter.  But behind the brittle cold winds and freezing temperatures, it has been beautiful.  I am so glad that Kara and David braved the elements so we could do this gorgeous winter mini session.  I love how these turned out!

I've said it a million times, but I love love.  Capturing it has been one of my favorite things as a photographer.  :)
