Becca and Mike are originally from Michigan, but live in California.  They came back for their wedding.  I don't know about you - but planning a wedding in the same state is stressful enough, I can't imagine doing it from the opposite side of the country!

I didn't get to do an engagement session with Becca and Mike due to the fact that they don't live here, so I was a little nervous about meeting them - on their wedding day!  Thankfully, they both are incredibly sweet and so much in love.

They opted to do a first look, which I loved.  If you're not familiar with a first look, it's when the couple sees each other before the ceremony, privately.  Although, Becca and Mike did have two photographers snapping away - they honestly didn't even seem to notice that we were there.

I have known the S family for a few years.  Their oldest daughter has danced with my oldest daughter for the last couple years.  They also went to preschool together.  And now our youngest girls are in the same preschool and dance classes.  I love how history repeats itself!  ;)

It was such a gorgeous summer day, and we had a fun time.  My favorite part was when I started chatting with the girls and the youngest looks at me and said, "Um, where's your kid?"  We had a good laugh over that!

Oh. My. Word.  This goes down as one of my favorite cake smash sessions, ever. I have been dying to use my lemonade stand for a long time - and I finally had a chance to use it.  I was so lucky to capture this little sweetie's first birthday photos.
